New Era introduced the 59FIFTY in 1954, when Harold Koch developed a uniform, structured fitted cap from the earlier "Brooklyn Style" pattern. It has the same basic design today, including the stiffened front that keeps the team logo facing forward.
This Seattle Mariners 30th Anniversary hat is black, with the compass S logo in white and icy blue on the front and a 30th Anniversary patch on the right side. As a Mariners fitted hat it runs by size, so check the 7 3/8 size against your usual New Era fit. It is second hand.
