sabi studios is looking for craftsmen: designers, illustrators, leatherworkers, dyers, anyone who leaves a mark worth keeping. If you make things with care, I’d like to make something with you.
The idea
One purchase should move more than one life.
Most brands are built around a single voice. sabi studios is built around a chain of hands, the way boro, sashiko, and indigo always were. Here, the maker’s trace is the point.
I want to work with the same people for years: a small circle working toward a shared thing, each credited by name, each paid in a way that lets them keep making for a long time.
The work is premium by design: small runs, real materials, domestic craftsmen, because the price is what carries everyone in the chain.
