A study in quiet strangeness. Part of Kapital’s long-running Bones collection, this zip wallet takes a full skeletal hand and lays it across the front and back in contrast cream leather, each phalange, metacarpal, and carpal cut as its own piece and stitched individually to the body. A thumbs-up gesture, rendered in bone. Playful at a glance, then stranger the longer you look.
The body is a full-grain cowhide in a warm greige taupe, tumbled for a pebbled texture that catches light unevenly and will deepen with use. The tonal palette keeps the motif subtle, cream on warm stone, so the piece reads more like a sculptural object than a graphic. A gold-tone metal zipper runs the perimeter and opens to a fully lined interior: a bill compartment, five card slots, a coin pocket with its own snap closure, and a small skeletal accent continued on the inside flap. The brand foil is stamped discreetly at the back of the cavity.
Like all Kapital leather goods, this wallet is made to age. Minor scratches, wrinkles, and the natural irregularities of hide are part of the material, not flaws to be hidden. Over time the taupe will warm and darken at the edges, the bones will burnish where they brush against pocket and palm, and the whole object will start to carry the shape of its owner.
