The Design Museum in London was founded by Terence Conran in 1989 and has been in Kensington since 2016. It published this book for the Wes Anderson retrospective it curated with La Cinémathèque française, and it is the first book made in close partnership with the director himself.
Anderson has kept everything since the beginning, and the book opens that archive across more than thirty years of filmmaking: notebooks, drawings, paintings, Polaroids, props, puppets, sets, and costumes.
