Nearly five hundred rare posters collected over decades by Tokyo music producer and DJ Yasushi Ide, covering music, film, social movements, and popular culture. The reproductions keep the folds, stains, and uneven quality intact rather than cleaning them up.
That choice is the point. These posters lived outdoors and indoors, pasted and peeled and pasted again, and the book presents them as a scrapbook archive that carries the evidence of use. Edited with Chika Minami, afterword by Tasuku Watanabe, contributions by Jeff Mills.
