Braun was founded in Frankfurt in 1921 by the engineer Max Braun and became one of the defining names in German industrial design. Dietrich Lubs, a longtime member of the Braun design team who worked alongside Dieter Rams, designed the AB 1 travel alarm clock in the late 1980s, and the BC02X carries that design forward with a quiet quartz movement and luminous hands.
It is a clock for a bedside table, a desk, or a suitcase. The dial reads at a glance, the hour and minute hands glow in the dark, and the backlight, snooze, and crescendo alarm cover the rest. It is also an easy way to own a piece of Braun design history.
