Forty postcards drawn from twenty designs in The Complete Commercial Artist (現代商業美術全集), the twenty-four-volume sourcebook launched in the late 1920s that documented posters, window displays, and lighted signs by Japan's first generation of commercial designers.
The selections include advertisements for radios and fountain pens, cat-shaped arches, geometric lettering, and modernist illustrations of jazz players and bob-haired women. Artwork by Sugiura Hisui, Tada Hokuu, Hamada Masuji, Murayama Tomoyoshi, and Ishimoto Kikuji, among others. Presented in a keepsake box.
